I bought this at a 7 eleven one night when we wanted to watch a movie and all the video stores were already closed (before the days of iTunes rentals). We didn't even watch it that night.

There are no rules set in stone about what I give away, especially since by day 285 I know I'll be having a hard time. However, actual garbage, like rotten food, will not be permitted, and I'll do my best to not resort to a pen every Friday or anything like that. I've also set up some stats so that you can now easily see how many things I have gotten rid of and how many things are left. Also, many people have talked about being inspired to follow along with their own junk, feel free to post what you have gotten rid of on any given day. Keep checking back, because you know what they say about one person's junk... Lastly, I cannot promise that none of these things will end up in a landfill, but I will not be personally responsible if they do.
Part art project part purge, 365 days 365 things is a farewell to some of the unnecessary clutter that accumulates in one's life. Each and every day for one year I will choose one item to get rid of. Each item will be photographed, and at the end of the year I will assemble all of the photographs into one giant piece. The items will be donated to charity or given to anyone who asks, but will not end up in a landfill.
